Reciprocating Flatline
Deimco's Reciprocating Flatline is use to efficiently and beautifully finish products of varying widths and lengths. In addition to doors, cabinets, and other sheet goods, the versatile flatline finishing system can be used to coat products like ceiling tiles, desk tops, or fastener heads. A horizontal reciprocator strokes the automatic guns across the conveyor to evenly coat products. Additional surface prep, curing ovens, and handling solutions are available for integration.
Deimco's reciprocating flatline is an industrial coating system used to automate the finishing of sheet like parts (doors, exterior sheeting, insulative foam, etc.). Parts are conveyed through a light curtain prior to entering the reciprocating flatline spray booth. The light curtain creates a unique two-dimensional map of each part prior to entering the spray booth. This allows the PLC and upline gun control system to precisely track the position of the parts on the conveyor. The reciprocator carries the spray guns back and forth across the sheets as the conveyor moves them forward. The guns trigger on and off at each edge of the sheet to reduce overspray and improve transfer efficiency. Overspray is collected in a removable capture cart and a fan exhausts the air after passing through two sets of dry filter media.
Multiple booth and conveyor configurations are available and are sized according to the customer's products and production needs. The reciprocating flatline finishing system is available for water or solvent-based coatings, as well as, single, plural component or UV coatings. The reciprocating flatline can be designed to include sanders and wipers, transfers and/or inline cure ovens, or additional material handling equipment like automated loading and/or unload systems.
