Rotary Sieve Powder Reclaim

Deimco's rotary sieve reclaim system includes a mini-cyclone receiver to separate the air and powder. The powder drops to the sieve inlet where a feed auger conveys the powder to the sifting chamber and a rotating paddle assembly throws the reclaimed powder through the sieve screen. The fines–below sieve size product–is passed through the screen and is dropped through the main sifter outlet into the powder feed hopper. The oversized or tramp material is conveyed to the end of the sifting chamber and discharged through the scrap outlet. The reclaimed powder is usually blended with virgin powder.

When paired with a Deimco fluidizing powder hopper and powder coating system, the feed hopper is equipped with low and high-level sensors. Reclaimed powder is automatically transferred from the filter modules until the high-level probe detects the presence of powder and shuts the transfer pump off. When the low-level probe detects the absence of powder, an audible alarm is sounded notifying the operators to add virgin powder. This extremely efficient powder reclaim system can allow customers to achieve >98% total powder usage by weight.
